BORDE SUR, 500 sq meters / 10 days

A short documentary that chronicles the creation of a mural painted by Chilean artist Nelson Rivas, also known as Cekis, who is based in New York City, USA. The mural is located on the rooftop of the Persa Victor Manuel market in the Franklin neighborhood and was painted at the end of February 2018. The mural is 500 square meters in size and was completed in 10 days.

This episode explores themes of immigration, graffiti, Chilean society in the late 1980s, and the influences on this artist and graffiti icon of the 1990s. He shares his experiences of living abroad and the process of returning to a completely different Santiago after almost 15 years away.

Special mention to the music, which was entirely composed by the renowned music producer Carlos Felipe Rojas Leiva, also known as Geoslide (RIP).
