“UNTITLED“

Remote Mural on street pavement produced and painted by Lira Arte Publico , Parque MET , Santiago Chile 2020.

This project is my first ” Remote“ Mural experience.

While during the pandemia ( Covid 19), by the end of July of 2020, I got an invitation from Lira Arte Publico to create a mural for the re opening of the Park MET in Santiago Chile. Because it was impossible fo me to travel from NY to SCL ( Santiago) by that time, in the middle of lockdowns and many restrictions to travel, we had to do it remote style. I was asked to design the idea and renders, sending it via email to Chile, and the team of Lira Arte Publico was going to paint it, with my lead and instructions through constant communication through smartphone.

The process was vey challenging, from matching the color palette I chose here with the paint brand we used in Chile to work on constant renderings everyday to explain what to do or what was next. It took us around 10 days to finish it and I feel the team of painters, lead by Ivan Saile and the Production team lead by Esteban Barrera and Benjamin Oyarzo were the biggest responsible for the success of this piece.

Thanks to Parque MET for the trust in my vision and my friends whom helped me there to paint this huge piece.

This wouldn’t been possible without the work of Anusha Mehar / Panja and the support of Orange County Arts Council. In the painting process I have the great assistance from my friend Alex. This Mural is located on the Washington Heights area in the city of Newburgh NY. It’s main purpose was to start adding street art works in the neighborhood.

“UNTITLED”

Nacka Stockholm , Sweden. 2019

Mural painted on parking building in Nacka Sweden 2019. This piece was part of the first edition of Wall Street Nacka Festival. My idea was to change the people’s view and perception towards this building. Locals didn’t like the look of the architecture so I accepted the challenge to paint this in order to improve it and add a more cultural value to it. For the sketch idea I got the inspiration from the unique geography and architecture, the water as a main feature and the bridges that “unifies” the islands.
